If you use cupramine since it is copper based i would make sure to have some copper test kit on hand. Always have a copper test kit on hand. Considering that you have already added cupramine to your reef aquarium i would definitely follow the instructions 2 doses 2 days apart. By then most all of the copper should be removed from your system.

Im using cupramine on my 10g qt tank. When used as an algaecide the copper is absorbed by the algae then released when it dies. Do not use in conjuction with paraguard. You can make sure of this by testing with our multitest copper test kit.

Some kits measure only ionic copper and others measure both ionic and chelated copper.
